Dolcetto Vs The World
We at Echo Wines have found ourselves in the unlikely position to become self branded ambassadors of the humble grape, Dolcetto. One night we were talking to our friend Daniele Viassone about how lowly Dolcetto is viewed in Langhe and the world. A simple grape that farmers drank daily is now barely regarded at all. When tasted blind the best Dolcetto can remind you of Gamay and even Pinot Noir. So after this night we made it our mission to show that Dolcetto can be something great. Thus, we would like to present to you, Dolcetto Vs The World. In collaboration with Zum Heiligen Teufel we bring to you a dinner and a blind tasting experience of Dolcetto from some a mixture of classic and young gun estates in Langhe.
Zum Heiligen Teufel has prepared a wonderful 5-course sharing menu for us. In addition we will be serving 8 Dolcetto and 2 pirates blind to accompany dinner. Wines drank will be the Dolcetto from Agnelli Viassone, Bartolo Mascarello, Giuseppe Mascarello, Giuseppe Rinaldi, Lalu, Lorenzo Accomasso, Mauro Marengo and Philline Isabelle. All wines will be tasted blind and we will discuss together and attempt to find the pirates as a group. Dinner will be held at Zum Heiligen Teufel on 05.12.2024 and will begin at 19:30. Tickets are €120,00 per person and price is inclusive of the menu, wine, and water. Given the nature of this event, we will not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions.
We are only able to sell 16 tickets, given this low amount of tickets sold, we are not able to honour cancellations.
