Peter really is a special human. Even though he is the youngest winemaker in his or any of the surrounding villages, he is leading his family’s vineyards into the future.
Having only taken over from his father two years ago, the vineyards are in the process of converting to organics. Small limestone-laden parcels are divided based on training systems, with some of the vines on pergolas to help create shade over the entire vineyard.
All of the wines undergo a very small amount of maceration for texture and are raised in old barrique. Interestingly, Peter created a neutral vessel for fermentation, using Travertine marble for a truly neutral way to complete fermentations.
