Nestled in the Alps between Geneva and Mont Blanc lies Domaine du Gringet.
Owning more than half of the world’s total plantings of the rare Gringet grape, the domaine was recently acquired by a quartet of vignerons, led by Vincent Ruiz and Miguel Sarzier. Their goal is to honor the estate’s rich farming traditions and uphold the deep reverence for Gringet established by its former owner, Dominique Belluard.
Though small, Ayse boasts a remarkable diversity of soil types, each imparting distinct characteristics to the micro-parcels vinified by the estate. Fermentation and aging take place in concrete or amphorae, with all wines spending two winters in vessel before release.
