Collection: Benoit Courault

Benoît Courault makes soulful wines in Anjou, in the western Loire Valley. After working with natural wine pioneer Yvon Métras, Benoît settled in Faye-d’Anjou and began cultivating a small parcel of old vines, mostly Chenin Blanc and Grolleau, on schist-heavy soils. Farming is done entirely by hand and without chemicals. In the cellar, he uses native yeasts, minimal sulfur, and long élevage in old barrels. His Chenin is textured and electric, while his reds are light, herbal, and full of life.
