Clotaire Michel is crafting energetic, terroir-driven wines from his base in the Bugey and Beaujolais regions. A former sommelier, Clotaire focuses on Gamay and Mondeuse, working with old vines and farming organically. His winemaking is minimal, using native yeasts, little to no sulfur, and aging in old wood or amphorae. The wines are electric and expressive, often showing wild fruit, herbal lift, and a savory, mineral edge.
