Domaine Belargus is a singular, terroir-focused estate in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley, dedicated entirely to Chenin Blanc. Founded by Ivan Massonnat, the domaine works exclusively with grand cru and premier cru terroirs like Quarts de Chaume, Savennières, and Coteaux du Layon. Farming is biodynamic, and the wines are made with native yeast fermentation, extended lees aging, and no chaptalization or fining. The resulting Chenins are crystalline, layered, and long-lived, balancing richness with laser-like acidity.
