Collection: Marco Tinessa

Marco Tinessa, based in Montesarchio, Campania, started his journey into winemaking with a deep appreciation for his region's indigenous grape varieties. His project, Ognostro, began with the acquisition of a single vineyard of Aglianico near Montemarano. It has since expanded to include Fiano, Falanghina, Merlot, and an entry-level Aglianico. Tinessa uses fermentation in clay amphora or high-density polyethylene tubs, following the guidance of his mentor, Frank Cornelissen. This approach allows the wines to express the true character of the terroir, resulting in wines that are both vibrant and reflective of their origin.
