Here we find one of Derenda's reds in its full prime of life. Having had enough time in barrel and bottle to settle into itself nicely, the wine is energetic and still has a ripping acidity which the Kras or Karso region is known for because of the limestone bedrock under the vines.
Tons of blackcurrent, casis and herbal aromas dominate the wine, signaliig it as a true Cabernet Sauvignon, but the uniqueness comes from the structure and elegance of the body and texture of the wine.
