Domaine des Côtes Rousses in Savoie was founded by young winemaker Nicolas Ferrand. Working on steep, alpine slopes around the village of Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte, Nicolas farms biodynamically and focuses on native varieties. The wines are made with native yeasts, minimal sulfur, and aged in old barrels to preserve their freshness and mountain character. These are crystalline, aromatic wines with bright acidity and a striking mineral core.
