Ducal Renski Rizling 2011

Ducal is a small natural wine project from Štarjerska, Slovenia, producing vibrant wines with a strong sense of terroir. Founded by Michal Sloboda, Ducal works with local grape varieties like Frankovka and Riesling, grown on volcanic and clay-limestone soils. Farming is organic and the wines are vinified with native yeasts, low sulfur, and no fining or filtration. The wines are bright, juicy, and full of energy, often leaning into wild aromatics and a slightly oxidative edge. Ducal’s minimal approach highlights both the grape and the soil, creating wines that are unpolished in the best way.
