Caresse Calcaire translates loosely to "limestone caress" which is exactly how this Chenin Blanc feels! Coming from the Vouvray area, which tends to have a lot of clay-dominant soils, having more limestone changes the texture and makes it a bit less round, and a bit more linear and straight. 

This wine is very fresh and super focused with beautiful fruit and mineral notes. Classic Chenin profile of quince and apple, but with some lemon zest thrown on top. Best enjoyed cold!
