Probably one of the most famous single-vineyard plots in the Savoie, Le Feu is widely considered as a "grand cru" of the area. This is due to its exposure, the soil composition, and the age of the vines, which produce a distinctly powerful and nuanced expression of Gringet.

While the vinification remains quite similar as with the other single-vineyard wines, the vineyard expresses itself beautifully. 2023 was a bit cooler and this year the acidity is fresher and the alcohol is lower than in 2022. The alpine freshness from the altitude and the typicity of Gringet as a higher-acid wine always ensure an expressive and invigorating drinking experience!

Domaine du Gringet

Tucked between Geneva and Mont Blanc in the Alpine village of Ayse, Domaine du Gringet is home to more than half of the world’s plantings of the rare Gringet grape. Now led by a group of vignerons including Vincent Ruiz and Miguel Sarzier, the domaine carries forward the legacy of Dominique Belluard, who championed this singular variety. Their mission is to honor the land’s farming traditions while showcasing the remarkable diversity of Ayse’s soils. Each micro-parcel is vinified with care, allowing the unique alpine terroir to shine.
