In the heart of Franken, Felix Walter farms steep limestone and
sandstone vineyards with a deep respect for the character of his
land. The focus is on the Franken’s traditional varieties, no riesling
here. Krawalter is the project Felix started inheriting some vines from
his Father. Here the fermentations take place with native yeasts
before the wines are aged large oak. Preserving freshness while
adding texture and depth is the key. The wines are precise,
mineral-driven, and unmistakably shaped by the unique terroir of
Franken.
