Les Ciels Changeants

Les Ciels Changeants is a young but truly thrilling project started by Phillip Hedderman. Phillip hails from Scotland originally, but having caught the wine bug, decided to jump into the world of wine headfirst.

His travels took him to New Zealand, where he worked at the famed estate Ata Rangi. This then led him to Burgundy, where he landed and worked with some of the regions most esteemed producers, including David Croix, Domaine Dujac, and Pascal Marchand.

His love for tasting and constantly seeking out exciting new expressions drove him towards the Jura, which captured his heart and fascination. He is now settled in the town of Nevy-sur-Seille, working out of an old cellar which had gone unused for years.

His first vintage was 2022 with primarily purchased fruit, but he is farming some small plots himself and plans to expand the domaine when and where parcels become available. Focused currently on Chardonnay and Savagnin, Phill's vinification and elevage lead to wines which are pure, crystaline, and genuine expressions of the marl, rich soil from which he harvests his grapes.
