Collection: Barbacan
Barbacan is the project of the Sega brothers, Angelo and Luca, working in the remote Valtellina region of northern Italy. Nestled in the steep Alpine terraces of San Giacomo di Teglio, they farm ancient parcels of Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) by hand, with no tractors and no shortcuts. Barbacan’s wines are firm, fragrant, and mineral, reflecting the granite soils and cool mountain air. The brothers’ work is both a preservation of tradition and a bold, natural step forward for Alpine Nebbiolo.
