The inspiration for this wine comes from Georgian skin-contact wines. This Trebbiano is macerated in clay amphora buried underground, just as in Georgia. Lovely textural grip from the tannins, with candied and dried stonefruit notes dominating the wine. It never loses its freshness which comes from the limestone filled soil of Tenuta Saiano

Tenuta Saiano

High above a dramatic valley with views of San Marino, Tenuta Saiano is more than a winery, it's a thriving ecosystem. Led by Alex Fulvi and Olivia Maggioli, whose family owns the estate, Saiano combines thoughtful winemaking with sustainable living. This agriturismo embraces organic and biodynamic principles, integrating animals, cover crops, and natural composting into the rhythm of the land. The limestone rich soils lend the wines a distinct, saline edge, echoing the rugged beauty of the landscape.
